Meet the Committee
This Week ~ Club Treasurer Petra Fowler
Position on Committee: Treasurer.
Why did you decide to join the committee?
I had been looking at a way of giving back to the community. Adam had been playing at the club for a few years, and at one of the wind-up events they mentioned that they needed a treasurer, and I was happy to take on the role.
Kids at AMPJFC and Year levels, including children who used to play: My son Adam plays for the year 7 team that is coached by Glen Jakovich.
How long have you been at the Club?
Adam started at the club with Auskick in pre-primary, so this will be our 8th year at the Club.
How long have you served on the Committee?
This is my second year on the committee. Being on the committee has really made me appreciate how many people give up their time to keep the Club running as well as it does.
Other roles at the Club and length of time served?
I am currently also helping to keep the canteen running while we seek a canteen manager.
What AFL Club do you follow?
I was never that interested in football to be honest. But my husband Rob has managed to convert me into a loyal Sydney Swans supporter. Our children Chloe and Adam are also Swans supporters and we try to get to as many games as we can.
